Bryan Gernert
Chief Executive Officer
A proven business leader, Bryan Gernert has led businesses through periods of significant transformation and growth. He has applied his management expertise to businesses in several industries, with emphasis on information technology and services.
Before joining Resonate Networks, Mr. Gernert served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas for Cybertrust. In the five-year period leading up to the sale of Cybertrust to Verizon for approximately $500 million, Mr. Gernert's region more than doubled its annual revenues from $36 million to $80 million. He was an instrumental player on the executive team that orchestrated, negotiated, and completed the transaction with Verizon.
Previously, at Digex, Incorporated, a global web hosting and managed services provider, Mr. Gernert grew a start-up company into a business with an annual revenue run rate of $240 million. During his tenure he helped Digex raise over $1.3 billion through an IPO and secondary offering and was part of the team that sold Digex to WorldCom in a $5.7 billion transaction. Mr. Gernert has also held management positions with Evergreen Information Technologies and RCI.
Andy Hunn
Chief Operating Officer
Andy Hunn has more than 15 years of leadership experience in the technology industry, working in a range of areas, including Internet security, network infrastructure services and software development.
Prior to joining Resonate Networks, Mr. Hunn was the Vice President of Corporate Business Development for Cybertrust, the nation's largest global security services company. At Cybertrust, he was responsible for business development and strategic alliances and played an instrumental role in the company's sale to Verizon in June 2007.
Mr. Hunn also served as Vice President, Business Development at TruSecure, with responsibility for strategic alliances and business development activities, before that company's acquisition by Cybertrust. Prior to TruSecure, Mr. Hunn was Vice President, Business Development at Apptix, a leading provider of 'Software as a Service' messaging offerings based on Microsoft technologies.
Prior to Apptix, Mr. Hunn was Senior Director, Business Development at Digex, where he was responsible for business development, strategic planning and corporate development activities, including development of the company's ASP hosting business, its $100 million joint partnership with Microsoft and Compaq Computer Corporation and numerous IPO and secondary transactions. Digex was acquired by WorldCom in July 2000 for $5.7 billion.
Prior to Digex, Mr. Hunn was a Senior Consultant with Accenture, formerly Andersen Consulting, working on several pioneering projects in the Telecommunications sector, including Iridium, the first worldwide satellite-based telecommunications service provider.
Mark Bryant
Vice President of Business Development
Mark Bryant comes to Resonate Networks with more than twenty years of senior management experience in corporate development, business development, and sales. Focused on early stage technology concerns, Mr. Bryant has built high performance business development and sales organizations with great success.
At email direct marketing company LifeMinders, Mr. Bryant joined as the sixth employee charged with all revenue generation for the business. Mr. Bryant was instrumental in taking the company public, achieving a peak market capitalization in March 2000 of over $2 billion with just over 200 employees.
Prior to joining LifeMinders, Mr. Bryant both launched and spent ten years as COO and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales of Legislative Demographic Services, bringing to the Issues Advocacy marketplace the first Database Management and Targeted Direct Communications ASP. Before LDS, Mr. Bryant served as a fundraising professional for presidential and senatorial campaigns throughout the country.
Deborah Correa
Vice President of Advertising Operations
Deborah Correa brings over 15 years of advertising and operations experience to her role as VP of Operations at Resonate Networks. She has held various leadership positions in a wide array of online media, publishing, internet services, telecom and broadcast television.
Deborah’s internet advertising career began at the Washington Post online division where she was responsible for advertising operations and product development at washingtonpost.com, Newsweek.com, Slate.com and BudgetTravelOnline.com. As Director of Creative and Client Services, she successfully built a scalable sales support team while growing the business over 90% during the evolution of online advertising from the first generation web banners to today’s rich media solutions.
Prior to joining Resonate, Deborah was the VP of Sales Strategy and Client Services at DigitalSports.com, an industry leading national network of community sites with coverage of high school and youth sports. Prior to DigitalSports.com, Deborah worked on cutting edge widget and application advertising at Webs.com, a self service social website platform with 30 million worldwide unique visitors.
Prior to Webs, Deborah served as the VP of Operations at U.S. News Ventures, which created email news digests targeted to business.
Deborah has been an active member in the IAB, OPA, AdMonsters, and has been appointed to DoubleClick’s Advisory Board.
Nick Tabbal
Vice President of Research
Mr. Tabbal leads the Research team responsible for developing and executing Resonate Networks' unique research based targeting algorithms. Mr. Tabbal is a seasoned industry professional with extensive experience in marketing and media research, targeted online advertising, statistical modeling and analysis of consumer behavior.
Prior to joining Resonate Networks, Mr. Tabbal was Vice President, Analytics – Interactive Markets at TARGUSinfo where he built a data driven platform that enables advertising networks to target display ads based on offline lifestyles and behaviors.
As Senior Vice President, Media at comScore, Mr. Tabbal managed a team that was responsible for selling and delivering insights and analytics to the industry's largest online publishers, online retailers, advertising networks and advertising agencies.
Prior to joining comScore Networks, Mr. Tabbal worked for several years at Paragren Technologies (later acquired by Siebel Systems) where he led enterprise-wide implementations of CRM and database marketing solutions.
David Wheatley
Vice President of Finance
Prior to joining Resonate Networks, David Wheatley was Vice President of Finance at ePals, Inc, the largest and fastest growing K-12 online community for meaningful learning, where he was responsible for fiscal, strategic, planning and operational guidance for the Finance, Accounting and Human Resources departments. Previously, he served as Vice President and Global Controller for Cybertrust, the nation's largest private global security company, where he created and managed a global accounting and finance team and participated in the company’s sale to Verizon in June 2007. Prior to joining Cybertrust he was a Senior Financial Analyst at Software Ag. There, he focused on the creation of an internal and external reporting department following a successful management takeover and subsequent listing on the NYSE.
